After
retirement from a 30-year career in the travel industry,
Elinore Snyder perceived opportunities created by the
World Wide Web that were too exciting to ignore.
It was back to campus for training in computer science
and e-commerce. "My previous experience having
owned and operated a small business made me particularly
aware that too many small businesses were not
represented on the Web," she says. Market research
revealed that business owners avoided e-commerce for two
reasons: trepidation of new technologies and the belief
that the Web was financially out of reach.
"I knew I could solve those two problems for
business owners," says Snyder. "We don't expect our
customer to know computer technologies. That's our
job. And most small businesses need less than 10
pages to showcase themselves. We can do that for
less money than many other types of advertising.
Marketing consulting is a very big part of our service.
When ecommerce principles are applied to web layout,
design, and copy, your website becomes an extraordinary
marketing tool."
Snyder
also teaches computer applications and web design at area community
colleges and tutors students of any age in Microsoft
applications. |
